Trees Are Gold makes tree donations easy for Filipinos! Our goal is to help plant a better future
Many Filipinos want to help the environment but don’t know where to start—that’s where we come in. With a simple GCash QR scan, anyone can contribute to tree-planting efforts. Soon, we’ll make donating even more accessible by placing QR stands in schools, cafés, and establishments across Cabanatuan City, Philippines.
How it started
Trees Are Gold started because of a school’s web development competition.
Miguel Arocena, The Founder of Trees Are Gold - During my senior year of high school, I participated in a coding competition at the IT CUP 2024, hosted by the College of the Immaculate Conception in the Philippines. The theme was to create a website for a meaningful environmental cause. That's when I came up with Trees Are Gold, inspired by my love for nature and trees. I won 1st place and later decided to turn Trees Are Gold into a real project.
